Cardinals catcher Yadi Molina
Yadier Molina was born on July 13, 1982, in the Puerto Rico. He is currently a professional Baseball Catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. Yadier is currently a two time World Series Champion with the Cardinals, he is considered an essential figure in the Cardinals success. In his career he has been awarded seven consecutive selections for the All Star Game, eight consecutive Rawlings Golden Glove Awards, and one Silver Slugger award. Molina coming from a baseball family, he grew up in Puerto Rico. His father was an amateur second baseman in Puerto Rico, and his two older brothers were also Major League Catchers. Molina was the Cardinals Fourth Round pick in the 2000 MLB draft, he made his MLB Debut four years later. Molina is considered a light hitter until he started stepping up his offense and raised his career batting average from .248 in 2007 to a .290 in 2014. He became just the third Major league catcher to win two world series before age 25.
